1.  Different cooling methods

Air-cooled chiller is the use of shell and tube evaporator to make water and refrigerant heat exchange, the refrigerant system absorbs the heat load of water, so that the water is cooled and cold water is generated, and the heat is brought to the finned condenser through the compressor, and then the cooling fan (air-cooled) is lost to the outside air;  Water-cooled chillers use shell and tube evaporators to exchange heat between water and refrigerant.  After the refrigerant system absorbs the heat load in the water, the water cools down to produce cold water, and the heat is brought to the shell and tube condenser through the compressor, and the heat is exchanged between the refrigerant and the water, so that the water absorbs heat, and the heat is taken out of the external cooling tower through the water pipe (water cooling).

2, equipment volume is different

Air-cooled chiller comes with water tank pump, easy to move, flexible installation.  Water cooled chiller needs to install water pump and cooling tower, the volume covers a large area.

3.  Device operating environments are inconsistent

The installation environment of air-cooled chiller equipment must be well ventilated, otherwise the heat dissipation is not good, affecting the cooling effect.  Water cooled chiller needs to install water pump and cooling tower, high requirements for water quality conditions.

4, cooling capacity is different

The cooling capacity of air-cooled chiller is smaller than that of water-cooled chiller, air-cooled chiller is more suitable for small systems, and water-cooled chiller is more suitable for large systems.  General industries such as laser freezer, small coating machine equipment, hot bending machine equipment, etc., supporting small freezer more;  There are many units with large cooling capacity of reaction vessels such as chemical reaction tanks and fermenters, and different chiller can meet the needs of different cooling capacity.

5, the equipment price is different

In general, the cost of air-cooled chiller mainly includes water tank and pump, large chiller needs cooling tower to work, so the cost of water-cooled chiller is higher than that of air-cooled chiller.
